Occupational & Physical Therapy Services
School-based occupational and physical therapy services are provided by highly qualified licensed practitioners trained in their field. In Special Education, related services such as school-based occupational and physical therapy are determined through IEP team agreement with goals created and monitored to ensure the least restrictive interventions are being implemented in order for a child to have access to a free and appropriate public education.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists complete assessments and work with other members of the school-based team to help determine what is needed for a student to receive a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment. They collaborate with other members of the education team to identify a student's annual goals and determine the services, supports, modifications, and accommodations that are required for the student to achieve these goals. School-based occupational therapy can be provided through consultation, integrated and pull-out services for a student determined warranted for this service need.
